Passion is the difference between having a job or having a career.
This is very well understood by one of our Digiperformers (trainee), Marissa D’Almeida from Mumbai. She truly believes that your job has no value if you are not passionate about it. And, the change in career is always good, as well as, required especially when everything around you is evolving.
Being the part of the recruitment industry, she has realized how human behavior is evolving because of the internet and how people are making most of it.
With changing trends, she felt an utter need to make a career shift into something big and exciting than her previous industry. She decided to learn digital marketing and completed her advanced level digital marketing course with us.
Currently, she is working as a Digital Marketing Intern at a renowned company – Niyo Solutions (Fin Tech Company).
In a chit-chat session, we asked her what exactly motivated her to this decision and how Digiperform played its role in the process.

Digiperform: It’s a pleasure to connect with you! Before heading further, we would like to know a bit about you.
Marissa: I am a self-motivated MBA graduate. I have worked in the recruitment industry and currently, joined as a digital marketing intern in Fin New Solutions just after completing the dCDMC course from Digiperform.
Also, I am looking forward to this new career move with great gusto. I have a tendency to think out-of-the-box and I like taking up challenges.
Digiperform: What originally attracted you to choose digital marketing as your career?
Marissa: In the last decade, advances in technology and easy access to the internet anywhere anytime was something I found quite interesting and exciting.
More importantly, in the last few years, I was quite impressed with the changes in consumer behavior and the world around me. I became quite interested, however; the means of acquiring further knowledge and understanding about the subject matter is what stopped me from proceeding further.
In addition, I really wanted to make a career shift into something new and exciting.
Digiperform: What exactly makes us stand out from the competition & urge you to choose us over others?
Marissa: Well, quite frankly I attended many orientation/introductory sessions conducted by some of your competitors and I wasn’t satisfied.
Digiperform’s introductory session was carried out by professionals who had good knowledge and understanding and command over the language.
Most importantly, they made the session very interactive and interesting. I enrolled with Digiperform soon after the session.
Digiperform: Tell us about your favorite experience you had with us, whether as a learner or as a customer.
Marissa: Digiperfoms LMS is very interactive and very useful in terms of revision and further understanding.
After every session, there is a feedback form provided to the institute and the instructor could incorporate the suggestions/feedback in the next session.
Personally, I was lucky to attend sessions by various instructors and was able to share my thoughts/ feedbacks about the same with the management.
The management is very particular about the type of instructors that they assign to their batches. Apart from that, the management also goes further and assists you with job opportunities. The rest depends on you if you want to progress with it or not.

Marissa: I would like to see myself as a skilled professional leading a team of motivated employees.
Digiperform: If you had a piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Marissa: Be open to the idea of learning something new and dive deep into the sea of learning.
Don’t limit your learning only within the four walls of the classroom but keep an eye open to your surrounding, learn more and more importantly remember to do the assignments and practice.
