  • Install tracking code:

  4. For example, to add the tracking ID to a Wix Website, then click on marketing connections, and then click on “connect to Google Analytics”. Paste your tracking ID there. This process is similar in other website builders also.
  5. If you codded your own website then instead of pasting the tracking ID. Simply copy the small piece of code present below the “Global Site Tag” and paste it right after the opening head tag on every page of your website.

  1. Open an incognito window from your browser and type the website domain.
  2. Come back to the normal browsing window and refresh the page in Google Analytics.
  3. There you should see that there is one active user on your website.
