Below is the list of few questions and her views on Digital Marketing.
Q1: -How your Digital Marketing Career started? What motivated you in learning Digital Marketing?
My career in digital marketing began when I started working as an SEO professional. Although that was for a small time, it gave be the initial exposure into the world of online marketing. I jump started my independent career in the field when I began blogging during the spare time I had my baby. I had lots of free time to me, but returning to a job was not an option. I started by creating my blog and since then the journey has expanded like anything.
Q2: – According to you, what are the advantages of Digital Marketing over traditional marketing?
The advantages are obvious at so many levels. Imagine trying to keep track of where your target audience spends most of their time. In the traditional marketing field, it would require running surveys to ask your consumer directly. The first advantage with digital marketing is that you know that a larger number of your target audience is already online. Secondly, you can easily find out where they spend more of their time, based on the demographic and other data available. You can instantly identify these mediums and then develop marketing strategies to promote your brand on these platforms. Thus, digital marketing helps save time and increases ROI.
Q3: – Which are your three favourite Digital Marketing Tools?
If you want to promote your brand, I would suggest sticking to the standard and proven online marketing strategies and tools. SEO, AdWords, and blogging are the most important ones to start with. As you progress you may choose tools to automate your processes. Social media marketing is another major marketing platform that you cannot ignore. The tool you choose should eventually be something based on what delivers the best results for your product type and specific goals.
Q4: -Why do you think it’s important for Entrepreneurs, Marketing Professionals and Students to learn Digital Marketing today?
The future of marketing is digital marketing. As an increasing number of people continue to spend more and more time online, it is digital marketing that is going to help you achieve your promotional goals. As already mentioned, it is also easier to locate and target your audience on digital platforms than on traditional ones.
Q5: – How do you stay updated on the latest trends in Digital Marketing? Which are the Digital Marketing resources (i.e. blogs/websites/apps) you visit regularly?
There are many sites and blogs that provide the latest and accurate information about trends in the digital marketing industry. Searchengineland.com is a great site that updates you about the latest trends in the field of online marketing. Moz.com and Clickz.com are equally informative. I also follow the blogs, http://seotechyworld.com and to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in the field.
Q6: – How do you see Digital Marketing evolving in future? What are the top three trends do you foresee for 2017?
Voice-based search, digital assistants, and AI are expected to be the next big trend in the digital marketing arena. In fact, the process has already started where you can search with voice. How the advertising space will be set and sold in this domain is something that needs to be seen. Google is always updating its algorithm. It moved from keyword-based search to contextual search and I see dramatic changes like RankBrain coming in the future. Another place where I expect to see change is the increased integration of search and social media. This will create even new avenues for digital marketing.

James T. Clark of NomadicNotes is one of my travel blogging heros. I interviewed him last year, but hadn’t met up with him until Thailand this year. (James took the photo on the post.) He has been a fantastic mentor. Like Kirsty Henderson, James is quietly building out travel focused niche sites and is earning a small fortune. This to me is the difference between blogging as a job, and blogging as a business. Businesses scale, a job is lots of hard work that never ends. Ja#8&sme217;s sites will be constantly earning money long into the future, with many new ones on the way.
