Suraj Mehta is working as a Digital Marketing Analyst in a reputed organization. He is an Ex-Trainee of Digiperform. In this interview, he has shared his Digital Marketing journey and experience being an ex-student in Digiperform. Read below to know more:
Q1- By profession, you’re a Digital Marketing Analyst. Please share your journey.
My Journey has been amazing till now. I was very confused before choosing digital marketing as a career option, however, now I think that I have made a right choice and trust me Digiperform played a huge role in this. Before joining my company, I had all good knowledge of the subject as I did Certified Digital Marketing Consultant (CDMC) from Digiperform and now I have all theoretical and practical knowledge as well. Still, I am learning each day.
Q2- Why you have chosen a career in Digital Marketing?
Before choosing digital marketing career I was into offline marketing; however, I was not enjoying my job. My sister told me that digital marketing is booming these days and everything is becoming digital, so I decided to opt for a certificate course in digital marketing. With time, I generated interest in it and now I am enjoying it.
Q3- How you feel Digital Marketing can help students to learn and earn as well?
Everything is becoming digital these days as everyone is using smartphones and laptops. Every business wants to promote their products and services through the digital platform as it gives quick results and leads. Digital Marketing can help students in their career immensely as there are a lot of jobs in the market as each business require a digital marketing expert. Above all, it’s a highly paid career option for now due to its huge demand.
Q4- In your profile, what is the most challenging part of your work?
In my profile, the only challenging part is to make clients happy as they want very quick results. Quick results can be achieved in digital marketing; however, it depends upon what part of digital marketing you are choosing. For example, paid digital marketing gives quick results but runs only till the time money is invested. Similarly, SEO or organic digital marketing gives slow results but the results or rankings are available for a long period of time. Every job has a challenge and each day we learn to grow.
Q5- Why did you choose Digiperform over other Digital Marketing Training Companies?
I chose Digiperform over other digital marketing training companies because I really liked the demo session of this company and also the fees were quite affordable as compared to other training institutes. I also liked its course curriculum. The most motivating factor is that Digiperform provides live classroom session which really helps to gain more theoretical as well practical knowledge. In the classes, you get a chance to interact with your peers and trainers; and clear the doubts at the same time.
Q6- How was the faculty of Digiperform? Do you have any favorites?
Of course, I have favorites as it was wonderful journey here. First, Sophia mam, who always supported and motivated me since the beginning. Whenever extra classes were required, she always gave me an option to attend any other batch. Even today, when I have completed my course, I am allowed to attend any batch if I have doubts or unclear topics. Second, trainers are perfect digital marketing trainers. They are expert in training the subject in a way that each topic becomes clear for a lifetime. The best thing about them is that they are very patient and humble; you can ask them “N” number of questions and they will answer them.
Q7- You were a student when you started learning digital marketing. What is your message to other students?
My message to other students is that during your training session, invest time as much as you can on practical practice and ask whatever doubts you have. Improvement in digital marketing can only be attained through practice. Also, regularly read blogs and watch videos as digital marketing is quite dynamic and latest updates come each day.
Q8- In your opinion, what is the scope of Digital Marketing in coming years?
With digitization, digital marketing will further go. Even while traveling in metros we can see almost everyone from educated to uneducated using smartphones and browsers. With government initiative towards digitization, everything would be digital in coming future and demand would be high for digital marketing experts.
Q9- What are your future plans?
For now, I am learning each day, however, in future, my plan is to go into client management role in digital marketing.
